Hello everyone!
The time has finally come to move this blog over to my own website. It has a new facelift although the blog is currently being worked on and will be even prettier in some time. To all my loyal subscribers this means that your subscriptions will no longer be updated. I value all the people that have been religiously looking at the blog for updates and fun recent sessions. I hope that you will subscribe to the new blog as well. I am working on getting a new subscription button to make it easy for you all but it will take me a few days. You can see my new blog at www.louisalarson.com/blogor just link to it directly from the front page on my website . See you there!!

Vermont Wedding - Congrats Jamie and Ron

You couldn't ever find a more peaceful bride and groom anywhere. You can tell these two are just happy to be together and so at ease. The wedding took place at the Sunset Ballroom in South Burlington, aptly named for it's amazing sunset and glorious views of the lake and Charlotte Bay. The evening was a great success with a beautiful, very personal ceremony, gorgeous weather, great food and service and a DJ that knows how to pick the music. It seems no one loves to dance more than the bride, I don't think I saw her off the dance floor once after the music started up! Here are just a few pictures of the bride and groom. I will post more as I delve into the many, many images that I took. Thanks you guys for such a great evening. Have fun on the honeymoon, I'll chat with you when you get back.

A bundle of energy and then some...

I just had the sweetest little bundle of energy come to the studio today. It was so much fun capturing her little personality. Did you know that chairs are for carrying around, pulling apart and standing on top of? This little one was quite at home while she explored her surroundings. At almost 14 months old she is dancing, talking, jumping, clapping, singing...you name it! Thanks for coming guys, it was a pleasure.

Beautiful Maternity

What an amazing time, to capture life before it is even born. This is from a session today. As I was proofing the images that we captured, this one struck me. I love the sillouette with just a hint of light on her face. I will post more from this session soon.

Celebrating adoption

Not flesh of my flesh
Nor bone of my bone,
But still miraculously
My own.
Never forget
For a single minute:
You didn't grow under my heart
But in it.

Perfect duo

A sweet little 4 month old paired with his gleeful 3 year old sister make quite a pair. Big sis is so obviously smitten with her little brother, it was just so much fun capturing their interactions. These kiddos are no stranger to the studio, this is the 3rd visit for them, little Mr. was in-utero the first time though! It's amazing to see how he's grown in such a short time. As always, it was a pleasure.

Boys will be boys...

O glorious
To be a boy!
O running stream
or sparkling joy.
~ Charles Dickens

Boys are so wonderful and fun and full of energy, what great spirits they have! I had so much fun during this session chatting with these little guys. I always seem to get the best kids come to the studio but these guys were great! They listened, they were patient, they were helpful, they were chatty, they listened...oh did I already say that? Ha ha!!! Here are some sneak peaks of the little fella's. I love the one of them trying to be "tuff guys"!

Here fishy fishy!

They all love the little "fish"!! This is the 2nd visit for this little guy. During his regular session I couldn't find my fish bowl anywhere so when it finally showed up I had to invite him back again. He was so excited and entrigued to be able to play with water, although we did have to encourage him quite a bit to stick his hand in there!

The little princess!

No one will ever be able to say that this sweet little 6 month old isn't treated like royalty. Her clothes alone are fit for the finest princess. We had a wonderful session, the little one is such a sweet heart and with her new skill of sitting up, she was ready for the camera. Here are a few from the session, I've also included a pencil sketch image which looks beautiful printed on watercolor paper. Thanks for coming again guys, as always I had a really nice time with you. I look forward to our next session.

A little itty bitty baby

What a tiny little boy we had here recently. He is just a few days old and not really wanting to be in the studio but he was a trooper. With his mom and dads gentle whispers and soothing hands we were able to capture some images of his first few days.

Mommy and Me

As a mother, I know that I can count on one hand, (maybe two) the number of pictures of myself with my children. Mainly this is because I'm the one behind the camera but most often I know it's because I am so busy I just don't think about it.

Well, now it's your turn! I am offering a mothers day promotion called Mommy and Me. During this mini session I will capture you with your little ones.

You will receive a desk top collage with an easel, an 8x10 image of your choice and a set of wallets for $100. You will also receive a 10% discount on any further prints you may want to purchase.

This offer will be valid through the end of June, so no need to rush in before mothers day*

For you Dads out there, let me know if you are interested in this unique mothersday gift and I will even send you a gift box with a gift voucher inside that you can present to her on Mothers Day.

And last but certainly not least...everyone loves the phototile jewelry that I wear and sell. I will extend a 10% discount to these beautiful tile necklaces made with an image from this Mommy and Me session. See My website and look under boutique for images of this unique way of showing off your loved ones.

Email to schedule your Mommy and Me session.

*Session needs to be booked and paid for before Mothers Day.
**Session is only for mothers and their children, grandmothers welcome too!
***Stay tuned for Daddy and Me.

Looking for 2008/2009 Senior Representatives

It's almost that time of year: senior high school portraits! I am currently looking for Senior Representatives.
What is a Senior Rep?
As a senior representative for Louisa Larson Photography, you will receive benefits and free stuff for promoting my business. I am looking for photogenic students with an outgoing personality and positive attitude. Students will first have a complimentary mini session held in April/May. This is designed to provide you with 15-20 images that will be shown to you in a private on-line viewing gallery. You will also receive a slideshow to music to share with your family and friends. You will also receive senior rep cards with your image on them to hand out to your friends.
Then...
A Complementary full session. This session can be held at the studio or on locoation, your choice - or both! The full session will be booked by September 1st but can be held after that. You can bring as many clothing changes as you wish as well as items that identify you such as a hockey stick, your car, your friends! Senior portraits are all about YOU!
What do I need to do?
A Senior rep promotes Louisa Larson Photography via personal testimony, handing out Senior Rep cards, and referring clients to me for more information.

The little lady with the lucky hat!

What a little cutie girl we had today. And check out the lucky hat! Mom and dad had this hat before she was even born in hopes of having a little one to fill it one day. I think she was born to do just that! Perfect! Thank you for coming today everyone. I will see you again soon.

Scrub-a-dub!

She's got more hair! This little cutie came to me as a new little one of only 5 weeks I believe. She is now 4 months old and has grown quite a bit. Her hair is awesome, the kind of hair you want to run your fingers through - I can't wait until she's a year old, I'm hoping mama will let me tease it up a little! A great thing about 4 month olds, they smile and even laugh. I caught this one giving a little chuckle at her mom while we had her in the cozy bath tub. Thanks for coming everyone, I can't wait to see the little lady in a few more months.

Love me some squishy baby!

Squishy: \ˈskwi-shē - adjective
squish·i·er; squish·i·est
1: being soft, yielding, and usually damp
2: not firm, steady, or fixed

A word couldn't better describe this baby! Squishy. Love it! As a photographer I was so blessed when this mom and sweet babe walked into my studio to be photographed. With a full head of hair, pouty lips and a temperment that is as sweet as honey, he lived up to expectations. I wasn't sure which image to choose since they are all so darn sweet but these few that I chose really struck me; the first two - pure security, knowing that he is being taken care of and the last~ a first time mothers love.
